http://scorecard.goodguide.com/chemical-groups/one-list.tcl?short_list_name=brpest

These are all pesticides that are banned or severely restricted in (rl) 'murica. Our government is known to operate more on the risky side of things, so if Atlasia has no regulations/bans regarding these dangerous chemicals, a lot of environmental damage can be done, not including the damage to our people's health.

Just dismissing it because it's a ban on sorts of pesticides is silly.

There's literally no federal bill regulating pesticide use, so pesticides such as DDT or chlorobenzilate can be used, completely disregarding the health and safety of our citizens. These pesticides are used significantly more in rural, agricultural areas (obviously) and here in the south we have a lot of rural, agricultural areas.

These regulations can and will improve the help of people down here, especially our workers.

We've seen the harm that these pesticides can cause, even the smallest of doses. Cancer, reproductive damage, all are reasons we shouldn't continue the use of these pesticides.

Of course I would rather have the Senate pass this bill, but in the meantime, can't we protect our people from them in the meantime?

If these regulations were put in place before 2004, then we have them in Atlasia.

That's what I thought. The question is, do you want to add more to the list? I would be happy to have that discussion.

There have been some changes to the law since 2004, and I'd like this to be the complete list of banned pesticides.

I believe that the best way to go forward with this bill is to show all the pesticides being banned, so when players look up what passed here, they can see what exactly is not allowed, and I think this is the best way to continue with this bill.

Here's my idea for the way forward

- We only add to the law the changes since 2004.

- However, we split the bill up so that it acknowledges all of the pesticides that are currently banned.

What do you think?

So the bill would look something like

I do like that idea,  you'll have to give me a bit to offer an amendment.

So as far as I see, the use of most of the aforementioned chemicals is banned, but the production of many of them are still legal in this country, and the use of them on food we get shipped from other countries are coated with these pesticides that we knew were too dangerous for us to use, but we're allowing those banned pesticide foods from other countries to be shipped here to the United States, and it's not such a great policy in a free market world.

My goals for this bill is that we have healthier citizens, but I can see why y'all think banning pesticides  seem pretty stupid, we have farmers who use these pesticides and it could hurt their businesses. The truth is that very few farmers use any of the pesticides in section one and no farmer uses any of the chemicals in section two. I see no need for the legality to produce these pesticides when the use of it is banned in our country, or that we allow our people to eat crops from other countries, countries like Mexico and Brazil, those with very poor environmental standards.

I'm hoping that y'all can consider this bill because I find that it's necessary for our region to progress and to move ahead of the other regions to make ours healthier.

Here's another issue I have: the fine. Defining the fine seems to put more harm on smaller farms than necessary, since Big Ag can pay those $100,000 fines, and those smaller farms are less able to comply with this new regulation. We've defined fines differently in the region, fining according to ability, and I think we need to adjust it similarly. Either we strike to portion or at least changing it.

I'd be open to changing it, I only put it in there to have a bit more substance, but what would you think about for $1,000 for farms with under 10 workers, $5,000 for farms with under 50 workers, etc.

If I can get to it, I will propose an amendment rectifying the fine issue.

Thank you! Just let me know if you're short on time so I'd be able to propose something.

This bill has passed, awaiting the Governor's/Emperor's signature.
