I've been reading up on some of these "Rising Stars" that the Republicans have primed for victory in these pickup seats in 2022... some of these people are very rabid in their social views... this makes the Tea Party Class of 2010 look like moderates (and some of them actually were by 2020).  Perhaps its just to win these competitive Trumpy primaries, but I do believe that more of the incoming GOP "freshpeople" are going to sound a lot more like Marjorie than the McC's (McCarthy and McConnell).

Isn't it funny though that they've been wanting to overturn Roe for so long and yet never focus on passing a Human Life Amendment to the Constitution when they achieve trifectas like in 2017?  What are they afraid of?  Or is it possible they just don't have the votes?

Can somebody explain what the "rabid" social views of the incoming GOP class are other than "they questioned the 2020 election results" or "they're a loyal Trumpist"? Have the Republicans actually gotten more extreme in their social views over the last 10 years? Have the Republicans gotten more anti-gay? More pro-drug war? Or has the Overton window moved so far left that opposing CRT in schools is now more right-wing than being against gay marriage was 10 years ago?

Oh please, conservatives have NEVER supported gay marriage and you know it.  Conservatives NEVER believed that homosexuality was not a sin or a disease you can catch!

Republicans have moved very far to the left on all social issues except immigration.
Democrats for some reason now think that "loyalty to Trump = far right".

You're right.  Loyalty to a man that is a traitor to the Republic doesn't equal far right.

It equals treason.
