I agree with Texasgurl.  Rather than make dubious allegations against anonymous senators, I would appreciate it if you got specific.  Name names, Senator.

I must admit that I've been somewhat disturbed by Senator Nation's comments as well as the actions of the UAC in general over the last few days.

I was greatly offended at the way the UAC targeted Harry's position as President Pro Tempore of the Senate.  Harry's disposition so close to the election displays the hubris of many of the members of the UAC.  To quote Senator Nation, "They call us a joke, but they fail to realize we hold three senate seats and a presidency that the voters elected--that hardly sounds like a joke to me."

I would like to remind Senator Nation that the UAC has no more claim to the position of President Pro Tempore of the Senate--nor of any other leadership position--than any other party on the forum.  Need I remind him that the republicans also hold three seats in the Senate?  The AIP is now nipping at the UAC's heels.  It seems to me that many members of the UAC--particularly those in the senate--are trying to have it both ways.  They insist that their party has not hijacked forum politics, yet implicit in the above speech is the kind of victim mentality that suggests the speaker believes that the UAC has some kind of inherent right to the leadership of the forum due to its popularity.

I have therefore undertaken the business of creating a senate majority.  Actually, I believe I have already created a senate majority.  I plan on reminding everyone on the forum that nothing can be accomplished without cooperation across party lines.  No party has the right to hegemony in forum politics.

Respectfully,

Senator StevenNick

You're just trying to put a nice face on your effort to drown centrism in favor of your brand of extremism.

Blah, blah, blah.
