Perhaps because we have nothing to gain from deploying similar weapons? It's not like deploying a Pershing III or the like would be politically possible in NATO. All withdrawal does is give Russia a free hand in deploying the disputed weapons.
And now, rather than using the Russian's violation as a diplomatic stick, Trump s going to give them license to do whatever they want. For the foreseeable future, the Russians will claim: a) they were never proven to be in violation, and b) that we, America, are the one who withdrew from the treaty and are actually at fault.
The Russian government is probably the only investor to ever get real value out of investing in Trump.
