I think this tests swings Right Conservatives towards libertarian to try and get them to switch parties..Here is another example. I have yet to see one Republican land in the Right Conservative arena.
I disagree:
Let's look at the questions the way a "typical" republican should answer them.
The typical republican thinks that objectional content should be banned from TV, radio, and the Internet. They should answer this either Maybe or No
I have met very few Republicans who aren't for everyone serving in the military for at least 2 years. They should answer this No
We gotta ban gay marriage and strengthen our crimes against nature law. Obviously they're going to answer No here
Damn hippies they should all be in jail. They're going to answer No here too.
Necessary to stop the terrorists. They're going to answer No here too.
So that's a 0-10 on Personal issues.
Let's look at the Economic Issues questions now
I've noticed a disturbing trend that a lot of Republicans think we should help businesses with government handouts. Let's say the go with Maybe
Unless you're Pat Buchannan you're going to say Yes here.
This was one of Bush's big issues in the 2000 election. They're going to say Yes here.
My church can do a better job helping these people and getting them to become productive members of society. They're going to say Yes here.
There are a lot of big government republicans out there. They'll probably say Maybe to this.
So that's 80 on economics...
And we plot it:
Right smackdabed in the Right Conservative section.
I would submit that the Republicans who fall into the Libertarian section should change parties or fix the Republican party.
