McCain ahead in rural areas = strong indicator, or not necessarily?

Ask Mitt Anything!

I'd like to ask Mitt how it feels to be such a lameass.

Agreed.

Though I am worried about Mich, which has been very poorly polled.

Republicans hate Mormons, apparently.

About as much as Democrats hate women, Southerners, and half-Mexicans.

My sister too. I am pretty convinced, and I'd be pleased to see him as nominee.

Last night I was watching WMUR on CSPAN. I noticed the way the reporters were discussing the outcome, one would think Romney and McCain were tied and Obama was routing Hilldawg. Most of those late-deciding Indys probably went to the GOP primary to help out McCain and poor Obam may lose because of this late movement. Champagne corks must be popping at the RNC's HQ.

I agree with this.

Look folks, if McCain sweeps Michigan, Nevada and South Carolina, he will win.  That's a tough road to go.  Other than that, the race continues.

I do expect him to beat Romney in Michigan, however.

Have you seen any decent Mich or Nevada polls or statistics recently?

I think the race will ultimately be between Huckabee and McCain now. I honestly don’t know who’d win that but I’d give the edge to McCain because he has such an edge in states that allow independents to vote. I’m starting to warm up to Huckabee as the VP, however.

I have a theory on this, though.

The Old Right and its intellegentsia dislike Huck and have always hated McCain. With Romney and Thompson nonviable, could we see fiscal purists and people like Limbaugh and the National Review editors coalesce around Giuliani? Ironically, could Giuliani's salvation be not moderates, but staunch conservatives?

Someone please tell me things about Michigan and Nevada!

Michigan a Midwestern state of the United States of America, located in the east north central states, as defined by the Census Bureau. It was named after Lake Michigan, whose name is a French adaptation of the Ojibwe term mishigami, meaning "large water" or "large lake".

Nevada is a state located in the western region of the United States of America. The capital is Carson City and the largest city is Las Vegas. The state's nickname is "The Silver State" due to the large number of silver deposits that were discovered and mined there. In 1864, Nevada became the 36th state to enter the union, and the phrase "Battle Born" on the state flag reflects the state's entry on the Union side during the American Civil War.

I actually learned a lot from this. Thanks!

How on earth is Ron Paul doing worse in New Hampshire than he did in Iowa?

Iowa has a pacifist streak.
