Yeah, what people are looking for is not a Muslim Reformation, but a Muslim Enlightenment.

(Interestingly, the Muslim World had the beginnings of an Enlightenment [or was it a Renaissance?] centuries before the West, but it never got off the ground. This may or may not be telling)
