Dear citizens and voters of the The New District Two:
I come to this senatre race with a very clear idea of the several problems that affect our great conutry, the United States of Atlasia. I also come to this race with clear ideas on how to solve them. My friends, here I expect to bring to you my platform, and I know, that my platform is also your platform, and i know, that in the election day, I will have your trust. So see for yourself:

Atlasia's Economy
For years on, our businesses has been drowning in red tape, impairing competitivity and causing both our big companies to offshore, and difficult the creation of small businesses, the strength of this country. So, I if you give me your trust, as i expect you will, I will support legislation to:
--Eliminate the minimum wage, that keeps so many of our youth unemployed;
--Simplify the bureucratic procedures that are now currently necessary to perform any business act.
I also support the return of our currency to the gold-standart.

Education
The state of education in Atlasia is ruinous. Many government intervention have benn tried to solve the problem, and it has allways failed redundanctly. In order to resolve this problem, i support:
--Giving tax incentives to parents who decide to send their children to private schools or even bigger ones to those who decide to homeschool them;
--Allowing parents to send their kids public schools other than their area school, a long as the school accepts them.

Foreign Policy
I support a policy of non-intervention, withdrawing all Atlasias troops from foreign countries, keep our soberany, only use our troops to defend our country. Foreign aid should only exist in case of humanitarian disasters.

Bringing Morals Back to Atlasain Life
like you, I too am worried about the low moral standarts today, expecially among our youth. But, I don't feel that the draconic measures suggested by some are the answer to it. I propuse to restore the high moral standart by using two weapons: Work and Family:
Work:  By repealing compulsory attendance laws, to allow the youth that does has probles at school to work, and giving incentives to small businesses who give them aprenticeships; and by making the creation of small businesses easily, to give more oportunities to the unemployed; also, repeal the minimum wage law.
Family:  By making it easy for endangered children to be adopted, easing the DCF bureaucracy.

On The Issues
Abortion: I am pro-life, but think abortion should be legal in certain circunstaces, like rape, or when the life of the mother is in danger. I propose an imediate ban on partial birth abortion. I am pro-stem cell research, but I feel it should not recieve government funding.

Crime: Prosecute juvenile offenders like adults.

Drugs: The drug war is a failure and should be ended. recreational drugs should be legal, like alcohol is, to drive the trafic barons down.

Free Trade: I favor total free trade with all nations, with all trade barriers beeing imediately ended, but withdrawal from internatioanl trade organisations, to keep soberany.

Gun Control: this is one of my top issues. If it's up to me, no atlasian will have his right to keep and bear arms infringed.

Health Care: I favor market based health care, ending Medicare and medicaid, and giving tax credits for Medical Savings Accounts.

Immigration: Immigration permits should be increased to skilled workers. Everyone else should be free to enter the territory, after paying an immigration fee of 20000 Atlasian Dolars and a background check.

Social Security: Should be privatized but making sure no one over 40 looses their benefits.

Taxes: End progressive income taxation and replace it with a flat tax of 17%.

Welfare: Charity should be left to private and religious charities. But every donation should be 100% deductible.

So, dear voters, I'm sure I have won your trust. So, on the election day, remember, vote Bono for senate. G-d bless you, and G-d bless Atlasia.

The only thing they have was driving up the price of medication.

Well, now the voters know that they have a chance to fob off their security from poverty, illness, and hunger, and at the same time lose their freedom to make reproductive decisions. Thank you for officially making yourself the most unattractive candidate in Atlas history.
I'm not taking away the liberty to make reproductive choices. You have birth control. But killing a child is not reproductive choice.

We've already agreed to written response. And, I'm sorry, but natural law is simply not embodied in the law over here. Maybe in Portugal, but here, liberty outweighs this putative "right to life".

Stop... that...
