I do suppose a hispanic might be ok, if they were of more Spanish (or white) origin ethnicity and very little native american.

No, not necessarily.  Somewhat socially improper.  I just wouldn't feel comfortable having that kind of relationship with someone of a different race when the time comes for things like that.  Suppose I go off to college somewhere off someday I wouldn't feel right bringing home a girlfriend of a different race to meet my family.

But shouldn't you marry someone because you love them, regardless of what your family thinks? I don't see why someone would think any worse of you because you dated a black girl, and if they do, it doesn't matter what they think.

That's not racism. It's not like he's insulting them, he's just saying he's not attracted to them, and there's nothing wrong with saying that.
