First of all you contradict yourself. How can church and state be seperate if you believe that the Bible is above and should be above the Constitution?
Nothing in US law is above the constitution and that has always been the case. The Constitution was not written to be read in conjunction with the Bible, it was written to be read in conjunction to previous state colonial legal documents and other international (mainly English) legal documents right back to the Magna Carta. It is more closely related to Roman law than some 'law of the Bible.' Which poses the question; which law of the Bible should be followed? It's not codified, nor is it uniformly consistent throughout the Bible. I hate to tell you but the Bible is not a law book (unlike many Islamic texts for example) Secondly how can you say you don't believe in forcing 'religion down peoples throats' when you wish a religious text to be the basis of law!
It's all slightly naive. You and I need to talk
