I have a feeling England might not make it out of the group stages this year.

There's actually been a disappointing lack of "ENGERLAND ARE GOING TO WIN END $* YEARS OF HURT!1!!!!!" - the press seem to have finally realised that they're not that good.

Ironically, the English squad is much better this year than they were in 2010.

2010 was hilarious. I just think Italy have re-hit form and I expect Uruguay to make it into the next round at England's expense.

It must surely add to the humiliation that they still have to play a now meaningless match.

I hope Australia finish them off.

They are still technically in. So I can't enjoy the World Cup just yet.

I actually think the 4 team groups are beginning to cause some issues. It is true that the second game is technically a 'knockout'.

The entire German team can now do calf exercises for the next 60 minutes in front of their goal and fill out any paperwork they've forgotten to do.

It was very sporting of the Germans to let that one go over the crossbar.
