Over the past nine years, experience on here has taught me that in all likelyhood he probably will be, probably by the time he's in college and able to vote for the first time or by the time he's taking home pay.

I honestly could see myself shifting left, but not left enough to actually register as a Democrat. I'd be more of a Duke-type Pubby at best

Remember though that it's the GOP that has shifted; Duke has been fairly constant really. If the GOP continues it's rightwards fight to the bottom I doubt you could stay on board ship.
