Mr Finlay-Hamilton met the press outside the Albert Pavillion Theater in Stovesby with Sir Robert Fraser head of the Independent Television Authority today after lengthy discussions. Mr Finlay Hamilton was reluctant to confirm rumours of a bid to establish an Independent Television station for the Greater Stovesby area despite the recent purchase of the Albert Pavillion by a private consortium. "We wish to simply ascertain the suitability of the Albert Pavillion as a broadcasting centre and production centre", Mr Finlay-Hamilton said.
The meeting with the head of the ITA is said to have gone "exceptionally well." Sir Fraser's later engaments included a visit with Mr Finlay-Hamilton to Sir Julius Benedict, owner of the Morning Post It is not known whether the Post has any connection to the new owners of the Albert Pavillion.
