Disappointing but not surprising that the FL GOP won't agree to repeal it, but I am very surprised that that egregious infringement on privacy has not been taken to court, especially if people have actually been charged with it this century or in the latter half of the last century. Got to be one of the most unconstitutional, actually existing "crazy laws" that I've seen.

It's more a problem of time. The legislature is only in session for 60 days and has to drop most of the legislation proposed each session because they don't have enough time to get through them all. Repealing laws like this, which I assume was unused until some activist state attorney decided to start enforcing it again, wouldn't have anywhere near high enough priority to make it to the end.
