Look at 2000. The race came down to two men competing to be "the leader of the free world" whom were there because of daddy.

It's not a bad move for Santorum. I'm not sure how many votes it'll get him, but it helps with name recognition.

The "Rombo" ad probably received more "points" in free media play than he could ever have hoped to buy.
