Do you eat sardines in America? If so, what do you call the metal object they come in?
I eat sardines three days a week for lunch. The object can be called a can or a tin, really. I usually say can. Either is fine, people will know what you are talking about. Which is preferred might be regional - for instance in Montana soda is called pop, and in Georgia soda is often always called coke(since Coca-Cola was invented here, it is much more popular than Pepsi products) - though I can not be sure.
My preferred brand of sardines is
Brunswick. Sardines are very good for you, which is one reason I eat them three times a week. My favorite is the kind that comes in Louisiana Hot Sauce. They contain omega-3 fatty acids, which are very good for your brain - I am noticeably sharper and have somewhat better memory since I started eating them. I also save money eating them for lunch because they are $1 a can instead of the $5 a day I was paying the cafeteria in my office. It's a habit I recommend to everyone.
