Strongly Disagree. The country(or government really in this case) has to earn my support and respect.

If you were a German in Nazi-Germany would/should you have supported Hitler and your country? Obviously not, so I usually pick strongly disagree here.

If my country did something really, really bad I would not support it, I would cheer on our enemies.

The question is about my country.  Since I never see my country falling into facist dictatorship, I don't consider that angle.

I'm sure the Germans didn't think their country would fall into a fascist dictatorship either.

They sure as Hell didn't make certain of it the way that we have.  The Weimar government was just ripe for dictatorship.  The way it was set up invited that sort of thing to happen.

And how did we 'make sure' of it? The Constitution? While I believe in the ideas behind it, the Constitution is a piece of paper, and is worthless unless the people are willing to enforce it. How many of our people have even read the entire thing, much less understand it?
