Just to be clear ,

it's evil when a policy "threatens" the health insurance plans of 20 million people

but it's ok when a policy threatens to extinguish/dramatically scale back the entire private health insurance market, which currently insures 140 million Americans

Ladies and gentleman, boshembecile is demonstrating one of many idiotic yet terribly effective attacks the GOP will use in the event we actually did put forth any effort to transition to single-payer, though arguably the most preferred attack line from them would focus on how "Democrats raised taxes on people by thousands of dollars per year" - as if people would still be paying for their private plans and the single-payer system simultaneously, or that it wouldn't result in net savings for most people.

Be ready.

Shame on John McCain!  He claims to be pro-life, but he is singlehandedly contributing to the murders of so many babies by voting against our last real chance to defund Planned Parenthood.  I'm ashamed of my party and my country tonight!

How many babies are going to come out stillborn, deformed or injured because their mothers couldn't afford proper healthcare screenings and preventative medicine during pregnancy?
