In some of the eastern counties, Grimes did better in the 2011 general than she did in this primary. 'Looks like some damage from the Senate race.

Harlan County in particular has turned into a real cesspool (I guess the carpet now matches the drapes), compared to even just 15 years ago. I bet Conway won't even manage to lose it by single-digits this time around.

Beshear won it by 35 points last time.

On the other hand, it's not exactly a growing county, and turnout has been terrible there in recent years.

Beshear won it by 35 points in 2007. He won it by less than 3 in 2011.
