If God was physically going to lift you to reach your full potential a) he'd have already done it and b) he'd need a reinforced crane.

Rewards in life only come through actions. Prisoners have immense faith in most cases, but they're not being magically teleported out of there and into cushy jobs and great lives. Most of the Christian third-world has immense faith, and they're rotting in their own filth no matter how hard many of them try. Fortunately, you live in the first world but the same rule applies: God isn't going to do anything for you that your fat ass won't do for yourself. Period.

How ironic. I just spent the last 3 hours chanting Uber, and I got on camera for my sign mocking an opposing player for being an Uber driver.

I do not know what any of this means.

Sorry. Should've been clearer seeing how obscure that is out of context. I was at a basketball game. The student section viciously mocked the star player on the other team for being an Uber driver for literally 3 hours straight from warmups to final whistle even when he was on the bench. I came with a sign that said "Warm Up the Uber Car". I was quite surprised to see Uber also being mentioned on here - the component that makes up the other half of my life.

What's wrong with being an Uber driver?

Presumably, this is a private college.

I did the next best thing and kicked five individuals off my Facebook who kept bringing stuff from my Facebook into the Update.  They were like dogs who kept dragging in road kill.

Probably the most apt analogy you've ever made.

Smash, my life is not in shambles, but that doesn't mean I am content to leave it where it's at.  God loves me just I am, but loves me too much to leave me where I am.  He wants to see me reach my full potential and that's something I want, as well.  My faith has everything to do with it.  I can't do anything on my own.  I need His strength and guidance to carry me on, because without Him, my life would definitely be in shambles.  You ask me how I can say my life is not in shambles?  My answer is because God is in my life.  He makes everything new.  Don't judge me yet, He's still working on me.  Again, things could be much better than where they are now and I want to get there, but at the same time I cannot be ashamed with where my life is at right now at 8:45 pm CST Wednesday, January 14, 2015.  With God's help, I'll get there.  Without His help, I won't.  Simple as that.

God's Kingdom is about serving others.  And since your deeds reflect your faith...whom are you serving?

Are you serving your parents when you're continually a financial burden to them?

Are you serving your employers when you regularly miss work and get fired for poor performance?

Whom are you serving, other than yourself?

Uh oh, Bushie: you're in trouble now!

I'm not really stymied by it, I just prefer brick-and-mortar shopping.  To me, the internet cannot replace face-to-face interaction with a sales clerk or a cashier.  It may be more convenient to buy online, but I am concerned with people's jobs, so I don't want to indulge in things that replace people's jobs if I can get away with it.  This is also why I don't like to use the self-checkout at Walmart.

Plus, as everybody here already knows, I am old fashioned, I prefer face-to-face interactions.  That's the way it should be, IMO.

Yes, I owe it to my parents to get out from under their checkbook as soon as possible, but I believe I owe it to them and myself more to not see us throw away $7,000 on a career-changing and career-saving school adventure that I gave up on far, far too soon.  I respect my parents and myself too much to do that.

LOL dude you last at an average job for like two months; go get a minimum wage job and by the time you find another premium employer to poach, you'll already be on thin ice at McDonalds or wherever anyway.

But seriously: can you imagine? Jillian Michaels would have a field day with his excuses and he'd quit the show after the second week due to "unfair and untrue attacks on his character".

This will sound like a broken record and probably will not be believed, which I can't blame, but I am going to try to eat better and start cooking for myself when I get up to Tulsa this weekend.  I'm going to start with the dishes I know, such as scrambled eggs, macaroni and cheese (stove top kind), and spaghetti and then branch out into other dishes as time goes on.  I'm not going to set any kind of elaborate goal just yet, I want to get started first before I set my sights on loftier goals.

Yeah, I know I've made fun of you before about this, but you really need to check your psychological leaks when you say you're changing; it's very revealing of your commitment level and always shows the inevitable outcome. You always say "I'm going to [verb]", "I will try to [verb]", "I need to [verb]", "I will start to [verb]" and even sometimes effectively a "I'm going to try to try". Change starts from within. Essentially, you always say "I'm going to think about doing this and might at some point in the future". Stop trying. Stop needing. Stop talking about what you will think about doing in the future. Start doing. Now, let's try this again:

This will sound like a broken record and probably will not be believed, which I can't blame, but I will eat better and cook for myself when I get up to Tulsa this weekend. I'll be cooking the dishes I know, such as scrambled eggs, macaroni and cheese (stove top kind), and spaghetti (not this unhealthy sh**t) and then branch out into other dishes as time goes on.  I'm not setting any kind of elaborate goal just yet, I'll start first before I set my sights on loftier goals.

Furthermore, I think with respect to diet you just need to go cold turkey on all of this garbage you consume. Completely purge it from your life. Buy only actual healthy groceries that consist of raw ingredients and things that must be made from scratch, throw out the junk and give your parents all of your cards and cash that you'd otherwise use to splurge on garbage food when you feel the slightest inconvenience. Until you master impulse control, it's seriously going to take such an effort to make you successful. Not only will this keep you from failing, but you'll inevitably have to learn how to cook for yourself and the ability to consume vast amounts of food will be limited to some degree by the time/effort it takes for you to make it (as opposed to guzzling entire boxes of Little Debbies or whatever it is you eat).

I'm betting he stopped at the McDonalds on the OK turnpike.......Bushie?

Why waste time at McDonald's when you can wait another hour and a half, get all the way home, and treat yourself to Braum's?  I haven't gotten the Braum's, yet, but I am home and will be going right after the 1100 news to pay my February rent and get some lunch.

Is Braum's featuring any seasonal specials, Bushie?  We can only hope they've dropped that 4-cheesed monstrosity in favor of faux-Caribbean/Hawaiian nonsense to get the minds off the cold.

Whatever it is, it certainly must be some of that wholesome, good, healthy food that Bushie mentioned a couple of days ago and said he was going to try to possibly try thinking about eating at some point maybe once he got back to Tulsa!

Bushie, I am not going to press you for a detailed defense of your position, but can you clarify what is your position on gay marriage right now?  It is rather odd that you made a big deal out of coming out in favor of it in 2013, and then subsequently announced your support for Christie, specifically citing the fact that he was against gay marriage, but not enough to fight it in court.  And then last year, speaking of Allison, you said that she was "more open to gay marriage and more accepting of medical marijuana" than you are.

Are you one of the only people in the USA to more more towards "anti" on gay marriage over the past two years?

It's simple: he's an attention seeker and bigot who wanted to get an extra burst of attention way back when he said that and/or didn't want to face criticism from the forum for being a bigot. Of course, and as with all of Bushie's lies, he can never keep a consistent series of talking points for too long before it all unravels.

Guys, you might as well be speaking another language to ODF here, so unless you can furnish some slow-cook recipes that involve 80/20 beef, American cheese slices, ketchup and some assorted batters, it's best not to even try.

I make sure I have plenty of Fritos and shredded cheese to cool the chili down.

I didn't bother looking through everything, but have we thoroughly had laughs about this yet?

Bushie, will you now begin applying to Uber, Pizza drivers, and Walmart (jobs that you could actually hold down and may even enjoy)?

I don't like the idea of having to use my car and my gas for a job except getting to and from, so that takes out the first two.

What about all of those times you drive like three times to a prospective employer's location just to be sure you know how to get there?
