A Quinnipiac University Poll, on the New York Senate Seat, shows New York Democrats want AFDNC chairman Miamiu1027 to run for Senate by a margin of 71-27%.  And in a race between Huckelberry Finn and Miamiu1027, Miamiu1027 leads 61-38%.

In the Senate General Election, Huckelberry Finn leads AFRNC Chairman YoungRepub 51-45%, and Miamiu1027 leads YoungRepub by a count of 54-37%.

I think YoungRepub's numbers were a little more solid, since they were based on actual forum members... Wink

I don't change my principles on the basis of polls. Smiley

I am not afraid to take positions that 85% of the voters don't agree with. Wink

In an upcoming interview to be aired at a later date, AFRNC Chairman YoungRepub has stated that he has NO intentions to run for the open New York senate seat.
You're their last hope....
Myabe Jaichind will run for the NYGOP...lol..

HAHA! That would be fun to watch! I wonder what he thinks of the Iraq War?

These polls are becoming more and more out of touch with reality by the minute.

In a hypothetical Race between PD and Nym90, here are the standings:

Nym90: 95%
PD: 4%

There you go again.  Just leave the guy alone.

What's that old saying?  If you can't say anything nice......

The thing is, this post *could* be written off as a sarcastic "haha, just kidding" post.  If someone like Gustaf had posted this with my name in place of PD's, I would think nothing of it.  But the way you've been antagonizing PD ALL THE TIME just causes me to loose that much more respect for you (not that it was much to begin with, this being the Internet and not real life).

If you WANT to seem like a decent guy - a respectable guy - stop being so mean.

In a hypothetical Race between GWBFan and Nym90, here are the standings:

Nym90: 95%
GWBFan: 4%

CNN News Alert:

AFDNC chairman Miamiu1027 is appalled at Gustaf's "Benedict Arnoldesque" move in the recent hours and has revoked his AFDNC membership, but would still like him to vote for Nym90.

Eh...if you throw me out b/c Supersoulty offers me a job, you can't really expect me to stick by the party in an act of self-sacrificing loyalty. I don't even like political parties that much... Sad

FOX NEWS ALERT

Sen. GWBFan (R-GA) today offered praise of presidential candidate Supersoulty's willingness to work with other parties by negotiating with Gustaf, a Democrat, to be his Sec. of State should he win the election.

"I have great respect for Gustaf and feel he would do an outstanding job as Sec. of State.  I would fully support him and President Supersoulty.  This move, I believe, shows the desire Supersoulty has to unite this country and I really hope Gustaf accepts the proposal."

Gov. Supersoulty's announcement of these negotiations comes just a day after the latest Zogby poll has him favored over Democratic candidate Nym90, 53% to 45% with 2% left undecided.

Thanks a lot. (I haven't made up my mind yet on whether this is sarcastic or not)

OK, thanks for your support, but I think I will just be more strangled. I can see now why it's better to be an extremist... Sad

I posted a new map for an EV between myslef and Nym.  I used comperible PV totals (53%-47% at the moment) to calculate the number of EV's and then used that to turn over the most likely states.  If someone can post it on here, they are more than welcome to.

PS it's under Supersoulty2

What, you're running for president of a forum, and you can't even post your own maps? Smiley I think we want someone with a little more experience, whom we can trust to handle things... Smiley

I agree Miamiu. If you would run in real life you would be superior against me in New York senate race. I have visited only once in New York and I think this is not enough to make me another Schwarzenneger.

People in New York City are cosmopolitans, but I think me as candidate would be too much. Even Dan Quayle has better English than I have.

But I have very impressive New York background! My grandmam's mam was maid in magnate John D. Rockefeller's mansion in early 20th centary!!

True story. More fabulous one is that my grandfather's mam was delayed from Titanic!

Well, that is kind of cool. And I wouldn't give up so quickly, I'ma senator in Minnesota, and I've never even been to the US... Smiley

Pulls out his constitutiona nd looks at residency requirements of living 14 yrs in the us to be a senator and obtaining the age of 30, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  Smiley

Yes I am 16, but I suppose it's a good thing that you think I'm older... Smiley You can of course call me 25 if you want to... Wink

They're just a lot more articulate and informed in Sweden.  Or maybe just Gustaf.

A lot more articulate and informed than who? We're better at English than any other non-English speaking country, I think, and we also have the highest number of people reading newspapers in the world. (Though Finland is a close second on both of these scores, I believe). But there are a lot of stupid people here, just like everywhere... Smiley

Gustaf. You have particularly good English and huge amount knowledge about everything. I have been  substitute high-school  teacher and I can say that there are very few whose knowledge is even close yours.

You wrote once that you supported Bush for president in 2000 election, because of his tradepolicy. (and after that you turned to Democrat) You were only 12 or 13 then!

It is Finland where we have highest number of people reading newspaper in the world. Sweden is good number two.

But in English skills Sweden is winner, because we must read so much SWEDISH in school! We have only 6 percent Swedish minority, but Swedish is compulsory subject in schools. Gustaf have you opinion about that? I have nothing against Swedish. I have even voted twice Swedish People Party's candidate Elisabeth Rhen for president. But compulsory Swedish is not good thing. All Swedish in Finland are able to speak Finnish. Right?

I will leave the newspaper business to rest, soon you will tell me that Santa is from Finland as well... Wink

English has always been a strong subject for me, I finished my English studies 3 years ago and finished all pre-Univerisity-English last year, so I guess it's my "thing". I have to admit that my knowledge of American politics was a bit limited in 2000, but I did know that Bush was in favour of free trade and that Gore was an environmentalist. I was also heavily influenced by The Economist who supported Bush.

As for Swedish being taught in Finnish schools, I know several "finlandssvenskar", Finnish-Swedes for the benefit of other forum members, and they do speak very good Finnish. I am obviously a little biased, but I am inclined to agree that it probably shouldn't be compulsory. It would make it less fun to visit Finland though, something we do every summer. Smiley
