I will not run.  And, I urge no democrat to run.  We can only win if we unite behind the progressives.

Seige40 for Governor!
But is this thread really valid when the regions have yet to be finalized by the Senate?

Yes.  It is very valid.  Cheesy

I thought the regions were finalized for the mid-terms? Since we don't have a senate yet... Tongue

We should have a special election for Emsworth's seat in the Senate... I don't think we should wait 3 more weeks to nominate have a election for Governor.

We don't need to rush this. Let the Governor elect choose his replacement just like the constituation says.

Emsworth was elected from a district, and there are no governors for districts

Exactly. Tongue

A special election is what the constitution stipulates, I think. At least that's what we sort of decided on.

I endorse Andrew. Smiley

And to Flyers...shouldn't the US/Atlas Forum sign the Kyoto protocol before demanding that others do it? Wink

And an international currency??? With what will we stabilize the economy? Unemployment?

Of course we should sign it!  International currency would be a great idea and reduce trade discrepancies with China and India.  Hey, we are becoming a global economy.  Let's do it fair!

I repeat my question: how do you propose we handle discrepancies in the real exchange rate between different areas?

Correct me if I'm wrong but is not currency reform a Federal issue and out of the juridiction of the States? So what does it matter if he believes in international currency? For the record I'm opposed to global currency.

Siege

I guess you're right on that, but I would not vote for someone proposing such a whacky idea, even if he didn't have the power to enact it. What else could we expect, after all? Wink
