You know what's less normal than religious beliefs? Hint: Go ask Santorum.

Bigotry against Mormons is just as ugly as any other type of bigotry.

wat

No one's forcing Mormons to be Mormon (except other Mormons). Other types of bigotry are worse because you don't choose to be black, or Hispanic, or gay, or Jewish (culturally), or....

Where is the victim in Mormonism?

By the way, Cynthia Nixon says that she is "gay by choice." You should have a talk with her.

By the way you just inadvertently touched on a very interesting topic.  Just because some gay people may be genetically gay doesn't mean everyone who acts gay is genetically gay.  I find it fascinating that no one ever points this out.  Is every blond born blond?  Are Wiggers black?

PS I hope I don't get sactioned for using the term Wiggers.

That's because gay people are rightfully insistent that their attractions weren't a conscious decision whereas others believe they've fallen victim to unnatural desires. Anything less than that is seen as giving bigots a foothold. But sometimes I do believe the lgbt community would do well to admit there are gray areas instead of acting so condescending. I mean Christ, it's as though they're ignorant of the b in their own acronym.. but that is quite off topic.

Obviously, the issue of tolerance should hardly rest on whether it is a choice or not. I don't think it's particularly reasonable to view sexual desires as chosen. Obviously, hardly anyone would be gay if it were a choice (given all the problems it typically creates for a person, especially in conservative societies). It also, actually, makes weak evolutionary sense, imo.

I guess it may be affected by environment though.
