Eh. Ftr, I never said it was flat-out hypocritical to have a given combination of views on these issues. I think it's a bit odd to think that certain things are to sacrosanct to be allowed to be defiled by the vile mechanisms of the market but then around and say that the human body isn't in that category.

One may obviously have other reasons to hold various views on these positions that removes this tension though.

I would like to note though that prostitution is essentially based on a class hierarchy which makes it amusing to watch left-wingers praise it. It is, essentially, about the rich buying the bodies of the poor which strikes me as more repulsive than the rich buying a somewhat better education than the poor.

There's a guy I work with who has admitted that he hired an escort during his extreme depression following his divorce. With typical escort prices they sure as hell make a lot more annually than we do.

The escort for the guy you work with probably isn't the most representative face of prostitution though. Again, if you look at the typical background of a prostitute, what countries they come from and so on you're going to see a pattern that suggests this isn't the top choice for most people.
