Gustaf:

What additional steps beyond the status quo will you take to expand the investigation of sock voters and the reappearance of banned accounts?

What laws or regulatory changes could the Senate pass to best aid you in this effort within the bounds of the Constitution?

In my opinion, most of the changes probably need to be made on the forum level and not on the Atlasian level, to keep sock accounts from being on the forum at all.

While I will admit that I'm a bit out of the loop on all the laws currently in place (I will read up more when having these responsibilities, of course) I believe a good idea might be to allow for more room for investigating peoples' votes or registrations, either by allowing retroactive invalidation or by delaying confirmation of election results. Another way of possibly solving this, which I'm more inclined for is that the process perhaps should kick in at registration and not at voting, since this would give more time to check up on people and make sure they're not sock accounts. This would also get around the principal problems surrounding the first suggestion.

Technically, of course this could be done today, but setting up a system of some kind, perhaps where the SoFA notifies the moderator of a new registration, etc.

I don't think Gustaf is at all qualified to serve in this position anymore. Find someone else.

Yes, indeed I mean its not like there isn't 50 possible choices. Roll Eyes Tongue

Why, in your opinion, are you less likely to go innactive then your predecessor, MasterJedi?

I've been on the forum a long, long time. I'm not going to disappear now. Like anyone I might be less active or more active at times (I do lead an active life) but I'm not just going to go away without warning.

Bacon King comes to mind, but we probably would rather not have a sitting senator also in a beaurocratic position.

Keep in mind MasterJedi was a moderator for this forum while also serving as the PPT without any evident conflict of interest. I don't think I'd do a bad job.

That said, I'd rather not be MG because I prefer staying in the Senate Tongue

I have no doubts as to Gustaf's abilities and I'm sure nothing would please him more than to be up front and center in this section of the forum's fight against Hamilton drones. Tongue

In a way this is blowing my own horn, but since it is also to support diluting my own powers, I think it's ok: I was actually president and moderator simultaneously and why people were a bit  worried about it beforehand I don't think I abused those powers.

I didn't know I had to take an oath for this thing.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the oath? I swear to uphold the constitution or something like that?

If I can swear to whatever it is anyway, I do.

I, Gustaf, do solemnly affirm that I will faithfully execute the office of Moderator General, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Republic of Atlasia, so help me Dave.

Good enough?
