The Japanese, in another outpouring, recaptured Indochina. After heavy bombardment from the Japanese navy, the British forces immediately surrendered. In Borneo the British defenders put up a more valiant effort, inflicting significant losses on the Japanese invading force. On land, the Soviet forces, dismayed at fighting in China while the Motherland was under threat, gave up without a fight in face of the advancing Japanese menace.

It is now Japanese non-combat.

Japan moved around lots of troops, with the most notable movements being the advancement of troops in Siberia and the loading up of Phillipino forces on transports now moving to the Indian coast. New forces, both land and naval were also mobilized.

The Americans did not do anything sufficiently dramatic to make me comment on it.

The Soviet counter-attack finally bore down on the German defenders. Although it could only happen with considerable losses, Karelia and the Ukraine were both, again, recaptured by Soviet forces.

It is now Soviet non-combat.

The Red Army send advance units into Sinkiang and West Russia, moved their air defence to the newly conquered Ukraine and mobilized new forces. It was now a simple wait for Germany's next move.

Hitler ordered a full-frontal assault along the entire front. Once the dust has settled the Red Army lay in ruins, with Leningrad and Stalingrad both captured. In the shadow of this breakthrough, German troops (although at heavy losses) retook Egypt from the British.

It is now Germany's noncombat.

My orders were received right?  They made it to my outbox...hopefully not lost in the series of tubes.

Haven't had time! Tomorrow hopefully!

The British India corps struck at caucasus with support from the RAF in Moscow. After a bloody battle, it was captured. The newly founded South Africa force was also on the move, recapturing Abbessinia. New tanks were then mobilized everywhere.

The Japanese whirlwind now swept across the Asian continent. In Sinkiang, the Russian forces stationed to protekt Chiang Kai-Shek fought valiantly until they were overrun by the larger and better equipped Japanese troops. In India an equally valiant fight was quickly put to an end. And with Japanese forces landing in Persia and occupying all of Siberia things were looking grim indeed.

It is now Japanese non-combat.

The Japanese moved their ships around the Pacific, spreading them out around the American navy off Alaska. They also built a bomber! A first for this game I believe.

The Soviets did nothing apart from bolstering their defense. It was all about survival now.

It's my exam week so I haven't had time to fix a new computer yet. When I do I will certainly resolve the German orders. Beyond that it's really up to you guys, but I'd be willing to keep going.

Sorry everyone for the holdup! I now have a computer back and have transferred my files to the new one.

The Germans now once again occupied Archangelsk and a major offensive was launched against Stalingrad, which now, once again, fell into German hands. The demoralized British troops, being far from home and outnumbered immediately surrendered.

The Germans mobilized new forces and continued their westward advance. They also reinforced the threatened positions in Egypt.

Yes, I guess we'll call this the game. It was pretty much impossible for the Allies to catch up anymore.

If people are interested in a new game that'd be possible I guess.

Hm, moves and opportunities.

Well, for one thing both the UK and the US opened with quite risky moves and then had quite bad luck with those moves. This backfooted the Western allies pretty badly from the get-go.

Also, I think the Americans should perhaps have built an industrial complex in Sinkiang to help slow the Japanese advance. That could have made the difference in the long, drawn-out battle over India/Indochina that the British were engaged in. Also, as I noted it was actually possible to build this IC and get a build in rather late in the game by blocking the Japanese advance.

Also, losing naval supremacy in Europe to Germany was a disaster, since it allowed the Germans to pretty much ignore the British.

I think that is pretty much what I remember of specific moves. I'll add that I liked the aggressive British play in the Pacific islands and that Japan and Germany generally played very well.
