Hibs win comfortably to go top of the table (for now anyway) and rangers lose 1-0 to the worst league team in Scotland (Stirling Albion), who's manager was away at a wedding. What a great weekend.

Celtic secure the three against Hearts and back to top of the table. Glad many of the games are televised or you can find them online.

Unfortunately I get the feeling that Celtc (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7456183@N07/1613249457/)*
will have won the league by christmas.

*I know it doesn't have much relevance, I just love that photo.

Now it's time for the really exciting derby of the weekend- Hibs versus the soon to be bankrupt Hearts in the Scottish cup.

Glory Glory to the hibees... Smiley

afleitch, patrick, SOS, you're boys took one hell of a beating*

* well 1-0 with our backs against the wall most of the time, but when you're not the old firm in Scottish football, you take what you get.

Now to lose to Dundee, Ross County and Hearts...

The bhoys are merely resting up; bigger fish to fry or calamari if you will Wink  Unfortunately I have not been able to see many League games lately but by all accounts it looks like they are playing uninspired domestically.   Congrats on the win all the same.

Yeah, I think its widely accepted that without Rangers on their backs and with them doing so well in europe, Celtic aren't really trying in the league. Not that it will matter, as you'll win it easily anyway, but with less points than last season (you can only reach your tally for last season if you win every game but one and have a draw- and you've still got two more hibs games Wink ). Relegation is already decided as well, because Dundee are rank, so the real battle is for second and the cups, which are wide open.

Ah, right, Celtic. My bad, bore. Yeah I only support them in European competition; I'm sorry to say that I can't really bring myself to care about SPL.

I'm counting you as a Celtic fan anyway, because a two person list isn't very fun Wink

Now for footballers are morons part 506934. Why anybody high profile uses twitter is beyond me.

And, now hibs are between a rock and a hard place, on the one hand its the most viewed story on the BBC website, so hibs can't be seen to be condoning this, specifically by extending his loan, and on the other it seems a wee bit harsh to ruin his career based on one stupid and provoked tweet. Hopefully he'll be handed a suitable punishment (big fine + a few games ban) and then we can forget about this. But, deary me. Deary, deary me.

Well, there's always next year.

Not a great match from a footballing perspective but it did leave me with the surreal experience of being in a match were the fans of the team who got pumped 3-0 easily outsung the fans of the team who had just won the double. I'd always prefer to support a diddy team because if you don't lose winning means nothing.
