I hereby announce my intention to run for the Senate this August, in what I am assuming will be District 2 (the district that includes Delaware).

I'll urge you to wait until October and knock of Jcar instead of trying to do it to a great Senator. Smiley

I'm not willing to be that patient unless the voters tell me I must, especially since we desperately need something besides bilateral free trade bills for the Senate to debate.

The Regulations were only intended to state how I was going to do things, not bind future SoFA's if they wanted to so something different.  Anyway, I'm declaring for Northeast Senator myself.

Dropping out of the Senate race.  If anyone cares, I'm throwing my support behind Ernest.

For obvious reasons, I care. Cheesy  Thank you for your support.

I realize we just got through an election, and this may be too early to announce it, but I will be running for Midwest senate as a member of the SLA.

Why wait four months when you could run in two months for a District Senate Seat, of whatever district that will be that is?

There is a bill on the Senate floor to postpone them to next weekend.  Even if they not be postponed, Gully could still wage a write-in candidacy.

I am running from the Senate, as far away from it as I can get, in the June elections.

I am also running for D1 Senate.

Good luck, Mr. Republican!

You might want to announce once Colin resigns. . . (since right now there is officially no election)

Doesn't it say in the constitution that you can't be President and Senator at the same time?
Yes, but until he takes his oath as President, he's still a Senator.

A four candidate race definitely meets my definition of interesting.

I hereby announce that I am running for the Senate in District 2.

I'm running for the Senate. Whatever ruddy district I'm in.
Assuming the district numbers follow the usual pattern, Wisconsin is in District 3 along with all of its neighboring States, Indiana, and Ohio.

I will accept any and all write-in votes for the post of Vice President in the upcoming election.  However, my campaign for that office will follow the example of Alvin M. Greene.

I know that it is probably a mistake, but I shall dip my toe back into Atlasian politics.  I shall run for a Senate seat in the upcoming special election.

Whether I win or lose in this weekend's special election, I am declaring that I shall run for the Atlasia Senate in the April 2011 general election.

I declare I have no intention to run as a candidate anytime soon.  The GAB will be taking most of my Atlasian effort.

It's been over six years since I began this thread when I was SoFA long long ago.  Since Dave has indicated a desire for threads to be kept well under the length this one has gotten to, and I believe there is nothing urgent in the way of election deadlines this week, I have decided I will lock the thread.

As a service until the new candidate declaration thread is stickied in place of this one, here is a link:
