Yes, this is the best choice.
Jackson hated money and the federal banking system, being on the $20 was probably a best-served-cold, banks have the last word insult to him, so it's good to take him off it. And his actions with the Trail of Tears aren't exactly popular.
Jackson's anti-bankism is exaggerated. His fight over the Bank of the United States was initially about how it was organized and operated rather than getting rid of it. In the resulting Bank War he moved to a more absolute anti-bank position because he became convinced that the reforms he wanted - which were rather drastic reforms - could not be accomplished, leaving him with a choice of the Bank as it was or no Bank at all.
He also favored not having denominations competing with specie, so he wanted the smallest denomination of paper money to be a $20 bill. (At the time, the highest valued U.S. coin was the eagle, a $10 gold coin.) So I always thout that if Jackson was on our money, the $20 is the denomination he belonged on.
