The Republicans that ran for Statewide Constitutional office and faced a single Democratic opponent all got between 58 and 60% of the vote. Few people bother with more than the party label in down ballot races and whatever Deerin may have gained in informed conservative votes was offset by what Hammond gained in informed moderate votes.
