Since I have yet to live under three successive governors of the same party, I do have some hope the Democrats will be able to regain the Governor's Mansion in 2018 and preserve the pattern.

Bill Clements - 1989-1991*
Ann Richards - 1991-1995
George W. Bush - 1995-2000
Rick Perry - 2000-2014

Only one bright spot in 25 years...

*Clements served one term from 1979-1983, and a second term from 1987-1991. The years listed above only include his time in office after my birth.

I'm surprised you think that highly of Clements. Wink

2000 Texas: George Bush
2000-2003 Texas: Rick Perry
2003-2004 Kansas: Kathleen Sebelius
2004-2007 Georgia: Sonny Perdue
2007-2010 California: Arnold Schwarzenegger
2010-2013 Kentucky: Steve Beshear
2013-present Pennsylvania: Tom Corbett

Does this mean we have our first poster born in this century?

No, because the 21st century began on 1 January 2001.
