They need to focus on fiscal conservationism.  The real kind where deficits matter, not the phoney Grover Norquist kind where high spending is fine so long as taxes are low.  It's something America is in the mood for and that neither party is offering right now.

Then, you have Jim DeMint who makes comments that women or single women (whatever it was) shouldn't teach in public schools.

It was gays and unwed mothers he thought shouldn't teach in public schools as they set a bad moral example.
