Also as someone who thinks Indiana could've done better on this one (cough Marlin Stutzman cough) I can understand Mourdock's view. I'm certian he deplores rape (I've talked with him on several occasions on issues) but what about the child in the womb? But who will advocate, from the place of government, for that kid who is human and should be protected under the 14 th Amendment?
If you use the 14th as a means of setting the line for personhood, you get birth as that line, with no restrictions on even late term abortions.
