I wish him peace as well, and eternity in one of his super-saturated landscape scenes would be an appropriate afterlife for him.  If he actually was fond of the style for more than financial reasons it would be an appropriate heaven, and if he just churned them out because that's what the marks wanted, then it would be an appropriate hell.
