It certainly was apropos that his campaign sponsored a car in the Nationwide race at Darlington this past weekend.  Except the cars there often were driving slower than he does.   I had the misfortune of having Andre as my State Senator before he became Lt. Governor, and I didn't like him them.  Hopefully this year's primary will be the last one for a while where I know well in advance which party's primary I'll be voting in.

I don't get your beef with Andre Bauer.

He's an airhead who never put forth a serious policy proposal even back in the brief time he was a State Representative or a State Senator.  His only qualifications for office are that he is telegenic and a good campaigner.  He's shown a willingness to use his office to shield himself from personal responsibility on multiple occasions.  In short, he's the personal embodiment of all that is wrong with modern politics.

I wouldn't have taken you as someone who participates in GOP primaries.

I live in Lexington County, so the GOP primary often decides who wins the general election by default.  For instance in the S.C. House 39 race, the winner will have no opponent in November.  That said, I do vote in Democratic primaries when there is no race on the GOP side I feel strongly about, and I'm likely to be splitting my ticket between more than two parties in November.
