That's great that Pawlenty is still approved of by 47% of Minnesotans even after being painted as Satan by DFLers, deciding he'll explore a Presidential run, etc.

How is Salazar not white? His ancestry is purely from Spain, aka Europe, and his ancestors lived in the US before mine did.

Really? I think I remember him saying that his family came from Mexico four hundred years ago in his 2004 victory speech.

Ok, the point wasn't that it was four hundred years ago; the point was that they didn't come from Spain. I was refuting your point that he was European/white.

Uh they came from Mexico descended from Spaniards. Still white and European.

I'm pretty sure Salazar has indigenous blood in him so he's not "purely" European. Four hundred years in Mexico is a long time removed from Spain to be "purely" Spanish/European/white.
