I actually saw one of the neighborhood Wawa's (a PA-NJ-DE convenience store) selling it for $3.97.

Cheapest I've seen, as of yesterday, on this side of the river was 3.83...I'm sure its at least 10 cents cheaper than that in the Jerz.

Bingo. I didn't see $3.83 though. It's $3.85 at the nearest Wawa. Odd that you've seen it cheaper than I have since it's usually more expensive in your area of town.

The Liberty gas stations in Lower Bucks tend to be pretty cheap...

I always thought Philly was higher...now if you get into the Bucks County Boroughs and past newtown, yeah, far more expensive.

I think I know which Liberty you're talking about. The one in Andalusia, right? I don't go to that one even though that is closer to my house than the Wawa I posted about.

There is one independent gas station on State Road just outside of Philly that always has gas at least twenty-thirty cents more expensive than anywhere else. I have no idea how they survive.

The oil companies win again when we call $3.80 'cheap'.

America wins when we look at Europe and they're basically paying $9 a gallon.  Tongue

Yes, look at the huge crises they're in now with oil.... oh wait....

I really don't know what that's supposed to mean. These people drive much more reliable cars and Italians apparently have the most cars per person in the world yet they're still paying that much. If that's not a crisis, what is?

Perhaps but thats not the liberty i'm talking about...I won't mention much more since I, like the VP, like my location to remain semi-secret.

The $9 a gallon gas inevitably changes the mindset of the driver. They drive much smaller, more fuel-efficient cars and drive less. If you look at the numerous statistics, America consumes the most gas per capita and our economy is much more based on fuel-driven semi's.

Take a look at Italy and Europe in general. I'd say 95% of these people drive a car smaller than my already small Honda Accord. They're much more fuel efficient. However, like I said, Italians have the highest amount of cars per person in the world or they're at least high up there. They drive fuel efficient cars. The price is still $9 a gallon. It ought to be much cheaper, wouldn't you say?

So if you can do 75% of your errands without a car... $9/gallon doesn't seem nearly as bad.  Especially if it means your country won't collapse when a barrel of oil triples in price over a short period of time.

Well, then we need to study how often those cars are used. I'm thinking that a country with the most cars per person must use those vehicles quite often.

I think that was this past friday.

Full serve? I've never actually seen that.

it's the law in New Jersey.

What a fuсked-up law.

Consider the state...

I went to get gas to 7-Eleven tonight (usually get it elsewhere) and as I'm going to pay, the guy tells me that he had a surprise or something. He then told me that I'd be getting gas at $1.95 a gallon. I was the first person to fill up at that price at that location. This is the first time I've seen gas below $2 in PA in years.

You have to talk to a guy to buy gas?

A lot of places charge moreif you pay with credit, so I always go in and pay with cash.  I'm assuming that's why Phil does it too.

I just pay with cash most of the time.

The GOP House is responsible for your extremely high gas prices?

It was much higher during the Pelosi Speakership or, as I like to call it, The Bad Times.

Not entirely true. Gas prices were much lower in the final months of Jr's presidency.

Thank you, President Bush!
