Apparently it doesnt help that much.  McCain was in town on the 21st.  The latest SUSA Poll was conducted the 22-24th.  Results below...

I said a well publicized event with the two of them. I never heard a thing about McCain on the news.

Two new polls are out. One shows Corzine up by nine and the other has him up ten. Check out Politics1.com

"I'm not corrupt. The idea that it's bribery when I have every goddamn union endorsement in the state.  It's not like any of these people think I'm a schmuck."  -- Jon Corzine (Star-Ledger, 10/30/05)

Are you sure about that, Jon?

This race is giving me a headache. I also give a lot of credibility to Quinnipiac and in this case, it's bad news. However, with polls still suggesting that the margin is in the single digits, I don't know what to think. This last week should be crazy.

As far as I'm concerned, if Strategic Vision says Corzine by 6%, chances are Forrester is dead in the water.

A lot can happen within a week.

There is very little hope for Forrester. This looks like a definite Corzine victory.

Republicans shouldn't be so glum about this defeat, however. After all, with Corzine gone, they will probably have an easier time picking up the Senate seat next year.

With Kean, it's pretty easy to begin with. Assuming Corzine wins, the Dems will likely have to deal with a weaker candidate in Menendez or Pallone.

I  buy it.  Will all of them stay home?  Of course not.  However, majority of your die hard social conservatives care about 2 issues.  Gay marriage and Abortion.  Gay marriage is irrelevant in this race, and when it comes to abortion Forrester is pro-choice.  He also came out last week in favor of Embryonic Stem Cell Research.  I know Free Republic should not be used to gauge most electorates, however, I think their overall tone towards Forrester shows social conservatives just arent that excited about a Pro-Choice, Pro-Stem Cell Research, moderate Republican.

You won't find that many conservatives like that in NJ and for those who are there, they don't make up enough of the electorate to really swing the election.

Forrester releases new ad.  Attacks Corzine for letting his family down.

Watch the ad.

Rebuttle ad:

Forresters daughter has Hodgkin's disease, yet Forrester opposes stem cell research to find a possible cure for his daughter. What kind of family man is Doug Forrester?

He does support adult stem cell research which has found cures to numerous diseases.

Former Sen. Bill Bradley, appearing at an event in Montclair today with Jon Corzine, said that he wants Acting Gov. Richard Codey to go to the U.S. Senate if Corzine wins the gubernatorial election.  (11/03/05)

Instead of posting articles all the time, post some opinions. And how about responding to my comment?

I agree with the statement from Senator Bradley. I too would like to see Codey appointed to the Senate after next week's Corzine victory.

Good boy. Now try responding to what I said. Also, I await your prediction on this race. No waiting until the polls close on the 8th, MAS.

"Lower drinking age to 18 - Corzine says that if it's good enough to fight in the army, it's good enough for drinking"

Note to Jon Corzine: NEW JERSEY TRIED THAT BEFORE!

Yeah and it was a disaster. Great idea, Jon.

Maintaining confidence in the face of overwhelming odds is a hallmark of strong leadership.

But when a Democrat does he it he/she is "delusional".

Semi-realistic - Forrester winning.
Delusional - Kyl only winning by 10%.

Re-interview of likely voters shows Corzine at 48% compared to Forrester's 44%.

This race is not over. If Forrester pulls off an upset, I will see to it that certain members never hear the end of it.

New WNBC Poll shows Corzine at 51% and Forrester at 46%. I think that's the fourth poll showing that this is a five to seven point race.

What sucks for Forrester is, he doesnt have the strong support from out of state the Kilgore has.  As Ive mentioned in other posts Kilgore has 9,800 out of state phone bankers, the MD GOP and other surrounding states are sending him foot soldiers, etc.  I think both races could come down to GOTV.  VA more so than NJ.  In VA Kilgores GOTV efforts will dominate Kaines.  The same will happen in NJ with Corzine getting more of his people to the polls.  Just my two cents.

I agree about Kilgore's GOTV efforts. In fact, I think that's what will allow him to win this race. NJ is not locked up yet. Turnout is key. Anything can happen. It certainly leans towards Corzine and I stick with my predictions (Corzine winning) but we've seen stranger things happen across the Delaware River...

Mercer County Democratic Chairman Rich McClellan says that "Republican terrorists" have vandalized Democratic GOTV vans, allegedly slashing the tires of three vans around 2AM.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

We Republicans sure know how to win elections!! I love it!

Yes because Wisconsin Dems didn't slash GOP GOTV vans on Election day '04.  Roll Eyes

If Corzine ends up winning, I don't want to hear from a single Corzine supporter about how bad the state will end up. This man is McGreevey Part II. Have fun, Garbage State.

i can only wait to see what loser corzine appoints to the senate seat.

A crook will appoint a bigger crook - Bob Menendez. Atleast we'll have the best shot at a pickup now.

He might appoint Codey instead.  I hope that's who he goes with.

If he does and Codey runs in '06 I really can't see Kean Jr. having much of a chance.

Codey is very popular but that Kean name helps. It would be a close race.
