IMO, its a sign of desperation.  Corzine has been slipping in the polls lately.

It is. Corzine is sinking and maybe this means I am delusional, cashcow, but I think it's very possible that he will lose. Forrester has some great tax ads up and one ad with just Dems complaining about Corzine and Co.

IMO, Corzines tax ad's are better.  He has one that nails Forrester for being the only candidate in this race to have raised property taxes (200%).

Forresters 'Democrats for Forrester'/Corruption ad's are good though.

Forrester has an ad out about Corzine voting for a tax hikes and stressing his 30-in-3 plan.

There is also an ad with Kean, Sr. offering his full endorsement of Forrester. That should help.

I want it to be close... but I kind of want Corzine to win. Kean Jr. is going to SMOKE Menendez.

I'd like Kean to smoke Menendez but he could also beat Corzine if he can't win this Gubernatorial election. Plus, NJ needs a Governor like Forrester to get working on the serious problems over there. The state is a mess.

Was this conducted this week? As if it's not bad enough for Corzine that he is only up seven, the fact that this might have been taken this week shows that the Clinton trip and the anti-Bush/Forrester ad did nothing for him.

Looks like the poll was conducted October 4th.

Corzine is in some serious trouble. His Bush ad has been up for about a week and the Clinton visit was supposed to give him a boost.

You should be praying for a Corzine win so that your party can pick up a Senate seat.

If Corzine blows this race, Kean can beat him in a Senate race. Kean is stronger than Forrester.

In other news.  The other day I praised Forrester's 'Democrats For Forrester Ad'.  Well, after some investigating I found that not all of the 'Democrats' in Forrester's ad are really Democrats.

Thats hilarious

How is that hilarious? It's hurting your candidate, genius. One guy happened to be a Republican. Ok, not smart on the Forrester campaigns part but if you've ever seen those ads, he has a good deal of Dems on his side that are helping to swing this election.

I was waiting for Rudy to start campaigning for Forrester. Smart move.

I love when MAS posts an article but is never here when his candidate is getting beat up on. Your lack of understanding when it comes to politics is astounding, MAS.

Corzine looked better than his usual disasterous performances but he just can't compete with Forrester. Forrester is lively while Corzine always seems like he's off guard. The Libertarian and No Corruption or whatever candidates were two of the biggest jokes I have seen in awhile. Mr. No Corruption party candidate looked at the camera maybe twice all night.

New Quinnipiac poll shows Corzine with 50% to Forrester's 43% with 7% undecided. Pretty much the same old stuff but Corzine is at 50% (good news for him). Hopefully, McCain and Rudy stopping in for Doug wins over those undecided voters.

This race is obviously still a tossup.

No one will win by more than six points. It's going to be close.

Thats right, keep your hopes up buddy

You have your head in the clouds if you think this one will be a landslide. Another Dem hack makes his presence known on the forum.

Define landslide?

If the undecideds break evenly your looking at a 54-45 Corzine victory.

A nine point win is not a landslide. I'd say anywhere around fifteen and up.

And you show your presumtion of me being a radical, republican-hating left wing nut. Sir, you are wrong. I am actually a moderate democrat who is against abortion, and for gun rights. FYI

I never said you were a left wing nut. It's just that you seem very partisan (in the mold of Smash, Scoonie, etc.). Corzine has been using his same old tricks throughout the campaign. He's been using the fact that Forrester is a Republican and has brought in Clinton to campaign for him. Nine points is not a comfortable lead for Corzine. If he dips below a six point margin from here on out, he's finished.

Corzine has been using his same old tricks throughout the campaign. He's been using the fact that Forrester is a Republican and has brought in Clinton to campaign for him.

And those are against the rules?

Republicans have made a living out of calling Democrats "liberals" for the last 10 years. And what about 2002 when they said Paul Wellstone was "against freedom" and consistently brought in President Bush to campaign for Norm Coleman?

It's not against the rules. I just don't respect your arguments and dismiss them as usual hackery.

I'm not even commenting on how Corzine is campaigning. It's silly some of the things he says in his ads but that's not even my point. My point is that no matter what he does that should help him, it's not all that effective.

And even if we do call you liberal, atleast it means something and is true. You guys just fear being called liberals. Corzine goes out and calls Forrester an extremist and everyone knows that's not true.

That doesn't make it a complete tossup. Anyone who denies Corzine has a clear edge is delusional.

He does have an edge but you want this to be considered a wrapped up Corzine win and that's far from the case here, BRTD.

Once there's a single poll showing Forrester ahead, I won't consider that the case anymore.

So let's say two polls show Corzine up by maybe one or two points. That's not a tossup? That means it's still locked up?

The New York Times Poll:

Corzine 46%
Forrester 37%

This poll was done October 14-19 among 750 likely voters.

Monmouth University/Gannett Poll:

Corzine 45%
Forrester 38%

This poll was also done October 14-19, but they could only round up 371 likely voters.

Is forresters case of all elected democrats in new jersey are crooks finally wearing off?

Yes, theres been alot of media speculation about Forrester alleged ties with no bid contracts with the son of Senator Bill Gromley, the boss of the Atlantic County Republicans.

And let's get your analysis on it, MAS, instead of just reading off headlines. Oh wait...
