Though I stated that I'd hate to live in either but ultimately said I'd go with Uzbekistan, I'd probably just go to France and be miserable there since at least I wouldn't be the only Roman Catholic there. I also wouldn't have to live in constant fear since Uzbekistan isn't exactly the best promoters of human rights.

I'd try to live ask close to the border with Italy as possible.

Sorry, didn't see that. So there are more stupid things than the question.

Congrats on having an iron stomach if you can put up with the French.

I know that this is BRTD, but what kind of stupid question is this?

See the date. This is back when conservatives were demonizing Chirac and worshiping Karimov.

Except that has nothing to do with my reasoning. I don't know much of anything about Karimov and while I strongly dislike Chirac, my reasons for voting against France initially (and still despising "having to live there" in this scenario) isn't based on Chirac.

would you rather live in an impoverished, dictatorial, ex-Soviet desert country? Because that's what Uzbekistan is. I daresay you might like it even worse than you like France.

I already answered the question.
