Gentlemen, gentlemen, please. The real action is today in Europa Legue as Napoli take on Dnipro! Tongue

In all honesty, I am really mixed on things. I don't want us to fail to get out of the group but we're playing in Ukraine in a tough match so going for a win means playing some of the first squad and I don't want them burned out before the league match (a must win).

A 2nd minute goal by Dnipro. Ugh. Sad

Now Napoli is the subject of a match fixing investigation for a match in 2010. Cannavaro and Grava allegedy knew of the bet and refused to take part but didn't report it. This could mean a points reduction. Huge, huge embarrassment. Sad

Again, it's really early, but a May 5th welcoming in of Inter could prove to be the difference between CL and EL for Napoli.

Ah, that's always my favorite against my least favorite Serie A team. I'd love for that to throw us in the CL. Smiley

I think today proves that Juve just won't die. Napoli fell out of second for the first time this season. Looks like a fight between us and Inter for second this season.

Juve unbeaten steak ends! The bad news is that it was ended by Inter.

Napoli down 1-2 to Dnipro in Europa League action today. Three goals by Cavani in the final fifteen minutes gave us all three points! Maybe this will spark the turn around in league play.

The upsets weren't limited to England. The three top teams in Serie A dropped points this weekend with Napoli probably being the most hurt. We would have been back up to second and just three points behind Juve if we didn't concede a late one for the draw. Inter never lose to Cagliari but were on track to at home until a late own goal gave them the tie. Juve dominated Lazio but couldn't find a goal.

Don't look now but Fiorentina is tied for third (Napoli holds the tie breaker thanks to a 2-1 win early in the season) and on a five game winning streak. Craziness.

Chelsea Football Club has sacked Roberto Di Matteo. After the disaster known as AVB, Di Matteo took charge leading the team to FA Cup and UEFA Champions League titles in the same season.

First I heard Rafa and laughed. Then heard it may be Pep and thought, "Maybe this isn't so crazy after all." Then it was confirmed that it's Rafa so...yeah. Ha.

I enjoy watching the drama of the English game from afar.

What did they do now? I watched a bit of their match with Spurs yesterday but didn't notice anything or read anything today.

The Jewish chants are one thing but fining/banning over the banner would be too far. Not to say that I necessarily agree with the message but I don't think the message is worthy of punishment.

I didn't read of violence until now. Apologies to Al if violent accounts were mentioned in the links he posted. I ended up searching on my own yesterday.

Anyway, yeah, this is hardly surprising coming from openly fascist fans.

Turns out some of the Spurs fans that were injured are Philadelphia area students. I still don't get why Roma fans would have attacked Tottenham supporters. So strange.

Anyway, Juve suffered their second defeat of the season, once again to a Milan club. They're stuck at 32 points. If Inter wins tomorrow, they go to the top of the table based on a tiebreaker advantage against Juve. If Napoli wins tomorrow, we'll be at 30 points.  Smiley

Turin Derby today. If Juventus loses, all we have to do is beat Pescara and we're at the top! Cheesy

So who goes through today: Juventus or Chelsea?

I'm hoping Napoli gets to meet Chelsea in Europa for a little revenge. Smiley

Chelsea cruising but it doesn't matter as Juve lead 1-0 in Donetsk late in the game. All they need is a tie. Messi is hurt and it's 0-0. Barça made all of their subs so they'd have to play a man down in the final minutes. That could kill Celtic's chances.

Roma up 3-1. Totti scoring seconds before half time but got incredibly lucky. Aside from horrible Roma defending on a free kick (which led to Fiorentina's goal), it's been all Roma. This will be Fiorentina's first defeat in a long time if it stays this way. Smiley

Bradley was so God awful (except for that goal line save towards the end of the match). If he was just half decent, Roma could have won that by three or four goals.

Girls, the real match of the day begins in just over an hour. Inter will hopefully be obliterated.
