Acctually, the Pennsylvania Republicans fit me pretty well.

They are more socially moderate and more populist than the national party as a whole.

Geographically that would make me somewhere between a NE Philly Dem economically and a Montgomery County Dem socially.

To put it simply: You're a Dean Democrat  Tongue

You love to pin me as that.  Funny I was on a Philly for Dean blog back in 2003 and some of them were Katz voters (like me).  I guess you're right.  A lot of the things people say about his persona people say about me as well.  I wonder what he thinks about Section 8 housing reform if he ever came across it?

Howard Dean would probably be your typical Montco Dem who doesn't even want it discussed.

NE Philly has 4 Republican state Reps and all of their districts voted overwhelmingly Kerry and Schwartz.

Did Kerry easily win NE Philly and PA-13?

I remember you saying a while ago that NE Philly was around 50-50 in 2000.

NE Philly wasn't 50-50 in 2000. Gore took the Northeast by 30 points - 65% Gore   35% Bush.

This year, it was probably 60-65% Kerry   35-40% Bush.  I don't know the exact numbers for PA 13 but I'm sure Kerry got around 56-58% of the vote.

NE Philly is more or less (not quite though) co-terminous to the old PA-3 District (Borski's).
It went over 60% for Gore

As I said, 65% for Gore  35% for Bush in 2000   Tongue

And as you said, most of NE Philly is part of old PA 3 but not all. There are areas of the far Northeast (close to where I live) that are part of PA 8 and some areas of the NE were thrown in Fattah's (PA 2) district. I feel sorry for those voters.

I forgot...most of the parts of the NE that are in PA 8 and PA 2 now were in PA 3 in 2000. It broke up after the redistricting.

Do I want to even try here?

Mass/RI/ (Maybe NH/ME on my more conservative days) New England Republican

if I were a democrat as some of the GOPers wish me to be...
Probably a Arizona or Colorado Democrat. Socially liberal but not a hippie or establishment type...fiscally prudent...

Maine Republican

Aren't I just a tad too liberal/libertarian for a Maine Republican (on most days)?

Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe....
