Italy and Germany meet in a Friendly match this Wednesday. Two of the most successful national teams in Soccer happen to be represented by some of the more passionate Soccer fans here. Let's hope for some fireworks through the week. When you're done caring about the Super Bowl on Sunday, be sure to shift your focus to...

And you have to love that the Friendly is in Dortmund. You know, the city Germany has never lost in except for that one game...

Well, yeah. Any Italy game means that. Sorry for leaving out Franzl in the Germany contingent, too.  Tongue

Ballack didn't play a single minute in the World Cup....and I'd say Germany did alright Smiley

Yeah but they had something to play for then. Now, not so much.  Tongue

This is only a friendly match. Not very interesting Wink

I know, I know but at least there is a history which allows a possibility of an entertaining match.

Do you know what time the match is? Maybe I'll try and stream it on the internet (but with Italian or German commentary is the question...)

As Lewis said, it's 2:45 Eastern. Stupid GolTV is covering Portugal vs. Argentina though and it looks like the almost totally worthless Fox Soccer Channel won't be covering any Friendly this Wednesday. Disgraceful.

"...and the pass: incomplete...as they would say in the Super Bowl."

Oh, silly British commentators.

Definitely more exciting for a Friendly but that is to be expected with these two teams. Let's just find an equalizer then the go ahead goal right before the end, boys.  Smiley

Well, it's sad to see everybody skips me. Sad

You are Italian but live in...that place. Talk about betrayal.
