I have decided that I will not seek reelection as Mideast Governor in January. While it was an interesting run and the Mideast Region is in much better shape than when I took over in July, I have come to realize that neither the region nor I will stand to benefit from a perennial strive for power on my part. I've lost a little bit of energy for the game in the last couple months and I think the office of Governor ought to belong to someone who is hungry for it. I've always seen myself more as a legislator than as an executive and I really saw myself more as a caretaker governor rather than someone who truly move the Mideast in a bold and dynamic new conservative direction. I am not leaving the game and may run for another office in the near future. But I think it's time for someone else to take the reigns.

By the way, it's sad to see you retire, but your service has been greatly appreciated by all of us. Good luck for whatever comes in your future.

Thanks for your comments and thank you for all your work over the past year to keep the Region working!

As I resign as Mideast Governor to fill the open seat on the Supreme Court I would like to thank first of all, all of those within the region that have been here through thick and thin throughout the past year, especially Speaker Spiral, soon-to-be Governor Tmthforu, and Senator JCL for their work and commitment throughout the bulk of the last year to make the Mideast once again a healthy and functioning region. I would like to also explicitly thank ZuWo, Bmotley, Badger, Inks, Shua, Potus, Hifly, Mechaman, and Windjammer (in something of a chronological order) for their particular contributions, as well as all of others who have participated. I would also like to thank Mr. President Lumine for giving me this exciting opportunity and the Senate for their confirmation.

I wish my successor (and in many ways predecessor) Tmthforu the best of luck. Though I will be taking federal office, I will remain a Mideast citizen and am only a quick PM away Tongue

I wish you all the best,
-TJ
