I live in OH-9 actually and to be honest no Republican stands a chance unless we have a very strange set of circumstances (and certainly not if the Republican is Joe the Plumber). Pretty much every constituency is happy with Marcy Kaptur.
The new OH-9 on the GOP map has a chance to be interesting since it pairs up Kaptur against Dennis! Kucinch in one of the ugliest shaped districts in the country. If Dennis! wins the primary and 2012 is a lopsided GOP year, there is actually some remote chance a competent Republican could win the seat even though it is D+9. For that to happen, the slight GOP trend in the old rust belt towns along the lake and on the west side of Cleveland would need to come to fruition really quick. Before anyone starts laughing remember Dennis! only got 53% of the vote in 2010 in a D+8 district against a terrible opponent.
Still, if the GOP runs some stooge like this, I might change my registration to Democratic to vote for Kaptur.
