Ouch for Conservatives. They finished 4th in a seat they held.

By the way, their last win in a local by-election is going back at January 24, which is quite bad, especially as they lost seats on the way.

The former Conservative councillor in Norfolk had killed his wife in a murder-suicide, which may have influenced matters.

Yes... circumstances of that nature are... less than ideal as a trigger for a by-election...

Oh.

Trigger.

Sorry.

The circumstances in Harrow are not ideal either.

Speaking of parish councils, the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition have won a seat on Maltby Town Council, in Rotherham borough, in a two horse race with an independent.  Apparently this is the first time TUSC have ever won an election.

Whose front organisation are TUSC?

National Front? Really? I thought they were extinct. Or is NF something else?

The far right feud endlessly and recycle political party labels. There's been at least one previous incarnation of the BNP as well.
