He never said he did that. Read what he said more carefully.

Kerry never said he took part in beheadings.  He did say he took part in the burning of villages and other atrocities.  He did say he acted contrary to the 'laws of warfare" and the Geneva convention.  A shorter way of saying that is war crimes.
