I’m might not be voting in a vote by mail election at all. My dad said if I did that I’d be handing the election to Biden, but a vote by mail inherently will hand the election to him. I’ve long questioned  the idea of “absentee voting” somehow being invulnerable to political pressure, so why would I trust an expanded nation wide version?

Just yesterday, I received THE WRONG PERSONS voter registration card when I updated mine. All you need to steal a federal election is a few loyal Election Supervisors in a few Democratically controlled cities to shave a few ballots off the top to swing a whole state. Republicans are guilty too (and no, Russians posting memes does not constitute a stolen election), with the obvious recent example being North Carolina and of course the Bush campaign played dirty in Florida in 2000.

We literally just had the whole Brenda Snipes brouhaha.

Why can’t we just vote in person? Voting is already socially distant. The line will be longer because it’ll be four to six feet apart. It’ll require some police presence to help manage it, but the wait time will not be changed at all. If McDonalds can open up their dining rooms in a socially distant manner than there is no reason why each state can’t get the proper logistics in place.

The way I see, Trump’s trying to stop a election from becoming vulnerable in the first place. Trump hasn’t done anything “dirty” besides promoting his hotels.

We’re not saying anyone shouldn’t have the right to vote. We’re saying that voting needs to be done the right way to ensure we never again see any Brenda Snipes style incompetence or fraud.

For Trump, the only 'right way' for voting is only whatever gets him reelected.

What a weak and hilariously drab take. You’re definitely not hitting the ground running.

“ORANGEMAN BAD” suns it up.

So far, the closest thing a Republican here has said as a justification to Trump trying to disrupt the election is that Americans are no pro-social enough to be trusted with universal sufferage and therefore we need a benevolent dictator. I guess there is the half-argument that what has worked in the past will continue to work regardless of change in circumstances. That's the default Republican argument in general.
Did you not read my post and just skipped over to latch on to Jessica's post instead?
