Well that's not good.  That district is now going to be very competitive.

Very Competitive???  No.   FL-27 voted 59-39 Clinton.    This should be one of the easiest districts in the whole country for Dems to flip without IRL,  especially with Trump in the White House.
Hispanics didn't turn out any more than they did in 2012 even with Trump on the docket. What makes you think they'll make this district a wash in a midterm? Sure, the Dems will take it, but it'll be contested if the GOP gets a good candidate.

IRL's compassion for transgendered people was only matched by her zealously rabid defense of Israel.
And Cuba firsters.

I once had to read Jose Rodriguez's Twitter history to find dirt. Nothing there.

In your experience, are most oppo researchers intern-level or are there plenty of grizzled pros? (Asking for a writing project)
Interns for most low level stuff/introductory queries. When the Rubio gay porn rumors surfaced they were very eager to take everything I had and ship it off to someone with the resources (and the will) to search for the possible tapes in Miami's seedy gay underbelly. Nothing ever came from it.

Is that kind of thing kept in-house or does the party hire PI's with experience?
I have no idea TBH.

I'm picturing you having to sit in a dark room pouring over hours and hours of gay pornography looking for Marco Rubio. It's a fun mental image.
Can you imagine if I found it?

IRL issues a brutal statement on Trumpcare:

I imagine this will appear in ads against the two other SoFL Republicans.
Curbello will have a race on his hands. Diaz-Balart is untouchable though.

JJR seems decent enough I guess. I never cared for IRL anyway.

Jeb does have another son, but I've never heard him mentioned as a potential candidate unlike Georgey P.

Great poll on this race.

Link

In a potential general election against Miami Democratic state Sen. José Javier Rodríguez, Lopez-Cantera would lead by 41-34 percent, the poll found. The error margin was plus-or-minus 3.5 percentage points.
That's believable, only because:
a. It's basically a CLC internal
b. Too many undecideds

CLC would put up a good fight, but in the end, undecideds would break heavily for JJR to propel him to a win by at least 5.

What's their relative name recognition like in the district?
CLC is pretty well known in Miami. Not so much statewide.
