Cara Jennings is a known Green Party activist who served on the Lake Worth City Council, which is one town over from my hometown for whatever it's worth. She also crashed the 2012 GOP convention in a vagina costume. She's very entertaining and is involved in the general weirdness of Lake Worth's downtown scene.

By the way, Cara Jennings is not in any way "poor." She lives in the artsy hipster district of Lake Worth. My leftist friend from High School worked at an art gallery in Lake Worth and knew her fairly well.
